Bansi wheat is a 2500-year-old indigenous wheat variety native to India. It carries a rich heritage & represents the traditional agricultural practices of the region. Despite having lower production compared to modern hybrid varieties, Bansi wheat flour is more nutritious. It contains a higher concentration of vitamins & offers excellent food value. Unlike the modern milling process that removes fibers, we follow a different approach. The grains are washed, ensuring that the bran, endosperm & germ remain intact. This preservation of the fiber-rich components contributes to the overall nutritional profile of the flour. Tarai’s flour produced from Bansi wheat, is milled at a low speed. This cold milling process ensures that the flour remains cool throughout grinding. By maintaining a low temperature, the nutritional integrity of the wheat is preserved, resulting in a high-quality final product. This indigenous variety has very little production compared to modern hybrid varieties but is more nutritious. Tarai Organic Bansi wheat is rich in vitamins and has great food value. USP:- Unlike the modern milling process where the fibres are removed as they are concentrated in bran, we wash the grains keeping the bran, endosperm and germ intact. Seeds grown from our own seed bank. Tofs atta is made at low speed which means it must come out cold when grinding hence qualifying it as cold milled.
