Chuwi, a Chinese tablet company, just revealed the specifications of Chuwi Hi12. The Hi12 is aiming at the high-end market but it’s also a budget friendly version of the Surface. The tablet features dual OS of both Android and Windows 10. And it can be easily switched between two OS when you need certain functions.


The Hi12 sports Intel X5 Cherry Trail Z8300 clocked at maximum of 1.84GHz, which is one of the most advanced chipset series. As we can see the X5 Cherry Trail Z8500 run pretty sweet
in the X98 Pro and Asus T100HA, it’s a slightly higher version of Z8300. The Chuwi Hi12 boast 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the external SD card slot can support up to 128GB.


The 12 inches 2160 x 1440 3:2 ratio display with optional keyboard would make it a nice kit for student to take note, business travelling or an entertainment gadget. You could design and do the presentations, reading ebooks, writing comfortably. The touch panel supports up to 10 point Multi-Touch and also windows HomeKey for gaming. It’s also capable of playing big games like League of legends.


The design looks very similar to the Apple iPad Pro, besides the Chuwi Hi12 is slightly smaller on the dimensions. Both tablets have slim design with chamfered edge on metal back cover. The unibody enclosure provides the sturdy hand feeling. The Hi12’s battery capacity is 11000mAh, which is slightly larger than the one on iPad Pro.
